品嚐京都豆腐料理

京都美食很多,當中以豆腐料理比較特別,豆腐成為餐食的主角!?在東京的豆腐料理有豆腐煲、腐皮料理,以及其他豆腐製品。別以為日本大,餐廳多就一定找到位置,在週末或旅遊旺季時,很多出名的餐廳都會客滿或大排長龍。 這次賞櫻行程,平日都處處是遊客,個個都是玩完景點就逛街,最後才找餐廳吃飯,特別是晚餐,一定是人最多的時候。

來日本玩得多,搵食總會有辦法:我在其他文章都有提過,JR站是通常都有連接在一起的大樓或百貨公司,上面一定有一兩層是餐廳層,營業至晚上11時左右,最近兩次長旅程,我發現有很多連鎖餐廳在大站都有分店,一定可以找到一定水準的美食。

The 11/F of Isetan department store at JR station is a restaurant floor. There are many options but also very crowded. I was searching for tofu meal and this one looks good: homemade yuba (beancurd skin), good view and set meal with variety of food.
位於京都站的伊勢丹百貨公司11樓是餐廳樓層,選擇很多,人也很多。我想找豆腐料理,看到這個吸引的招牌:自家工場豆腐、有景觀、套餐豐富,就排隊試試。

These chairs were full when I arrived. People queue up for good food. As a foreigner who don’t speak Japanese, I managed to put my name down and went back in one hour without having to wait outside the whole time.
我剛到的時候這些輪侯的座位都坐滿人。不懂日文的我走進餐廳詢問,把名字留下來,一小時回去。

I went back in one hour. Perfect timing. Just about to get a table. Then I was wondering why there weren’t that many people on the queue. Then I found out that I was the second last customer they accommodated! How lucky.
大約一小時後回去,時間剛好,很快就可以入座。發現人龍不見了,原來我是最後兩座晚飯的顧客。他們到一定時間就不再接待客人,真幸運!

Feature of the meal: yuba (fresh beancurd skin) served in a wooden bucket. The dipping sauce on the side is for the beancurd skin. Soup is drinkable.
主角:桶裝的新鮮豆腐皮,旁邊醬油是用來沾豆腐皮吃的,豆腐湯可以喝。

I have to be careful picking up the delicate fresh beancurd skin from the the bucket.
看到木桶的造型就已經開心。我要小心翼翼地把新鮮腐皮夾起。

Look at how delicate and thin the beancurd skin is! It’s amazing how they pick up such thin slides of beancurd to make rolls and toful meal.
看看腐皮多細嫩!他們一片一片拿起來製作腐皮料理很不簡單。
