Opened in December 2016, Garden Spa Tokachigawa Onsen is the latest independent hot spring in Tokachigawa that offers a variety of food choices, hot spring (onsen), cooking classes, and some activities for both tourists and local community. There is a famous bakery, a grocery shop, four choices of restaurants for simple food and coffee, a spa, and workshops for cooking classes. There are also events and activities.
Locating walking distance from most of the hotels in Tokachigawa, Garden Spa is a conveniently located for easy access. It opens from 09:00 to 21:00 every day. Shops, restaurants and onsen close at different time. So it’s more a day-time place. 十勝溫泉川花園水療位置適中，從大部份酒店都可以步行到達，每天營業時間從早上09:00至晚上21:00，但裏面的商店、餐廳和水療開放時間不同，基本上是日間活動的地方。It is a single storey house with high ceiling. There is a bakery, a shop and 4 choices of restaurants all in the same area. 十勝川溫泉花園水療只有一層，樓頂很高，環境舒適，有一間麵包店、1間商店和4間餐廳。Tokachi sub-prefecture in Hokkaido is rich in natural resources, producing a lot of high quality agricultural and dairy products. This grocery shop sells some packaged food and ingredients. 十勝出產許多高質素的農產品和乳製品。這間商店出售一些包裝食物和食材。I chose this Kokage-no-cafe for lunch. This cafe opens from 09:00 to 21:00. 我選擇了這間咖啡廳午餐。這間餐廳營業時間最長，從早上09:00至晚上21:00。This is the set lunch: rice with vegetables, a half-boiled egg and slides of ham. Plus there is a soup. Very fresh and delicious! 這是午餐，野菜火腿飯，還有一杯湯。食材非常新鮮美味！The other cream sauce pork rice in cast iron pan. 另一款用生鐵鑊上的火腿飯，也是午餐選擇。Coffee is the reason why I picked this restaurant. ¥300 for a big cup of coffee. 我選這餐廳吃午餐其中一個原因就是為了喝咖啡，一大杯咖啡¥300。I was given free spa coupons worth ¥1,500 per person from the hotel. This is a great incentive for me to come visit and try out the spa. 我入住的酒店非常好，一早就給我兩張水療券，可以免費嘗試價值¥1,500 的水療。The spa is a co-ed hot spring for both men and women. Hence requiring swimming suits. The green suit is a swim suit available for rental for women if you need one. It’s a very special design that doesn’t look like a swimsuit. The material is thick, loose fit and the bottom goes just above knees. 水療是男女共用的，所以要穿泳衣，假如你沒有自備，圖中綠色的就是女裝泳衣可以租借。泳衣設計獨特：衣料厚，不透明，不貼身，下身基本上是很長的短褲，差不多到膝上。Similar to many other onsen in Japan, the indoor hot spring has an open view. 室內溫泉跟其他日本的溫泉差不多，都有開揚的景觀。There is an outdoor onsen. The inner pool is a hot spring, the outer pool is not as warm.
