Anpanman Trains 麵包超人列車

Getting around by train is one of the best way to explore Shikoku, Japan. You will not only visit most of the popular sightseeing destinations, but also enjoy the fun of riding on special trains.

In Shikoku, the four special Anpanman trains are not-to-be-missed for families travelling with young children. Anpanman is a children’s anime series created by the Kochi-born creator Takashi Yanase (1919-2013). Launched in 1973, the anime featuring a superhero Anpan with a red bean-paste pastry head protecting the world from an evil germ called Baikinman. Today, the anime continued to be a popular cartoon among young children. The cartoon characters are made into a variety of merchandise. There are museums and Anpanman trains in Japan!

There are 4 Anpanman trains in Shikoku. Two of them runs every day.

Dosan Line Anpanman Train 土讚線麵包超人列車
Dosan Line Anpanman Train runs between Okayama and Kochi/Nakamura every day. Holders of All Shikoku Rail Pass can ride on the section between Takamatsu and Kochi/Nakamura.
土讚線麵包超人車每天運行岡山至高知/中村站。持有全四國週遊券可乘搭高松至高知/中村站。
Dosan Line Anpanman Train 土讚線麵包超人列車
The ceiling is decorated with Anpanman characters throughout the train but the special seats are all “Reserved Seats”. There are only 16 of them. All Shikoku Rail Pass Holders will have to pay extra for reserved seats. Having said that, there is a special package of 4 reserved seat tickets you may purchase. ¥1,000 for adult and ¥500 for children. So it’s only an average of ¥250 per ride. Great offer!
麵包超人列車的天花板貼滿麵包超人卡通工作。而特別的麵包超人座位僅設在“指定席”，只有16個座位。持有全四國週遊券需要另外購買指定席票，但有一種4張「指定席回數票」套票可以購買，成人¥1000，小童¥500。既平均每程指定席只需全四國週遊券+¥250即可舒舒服服乘坐指定席，非常划算！
Yosan Line 8000 Series Anpanman Train 予讚線8000系麵包超人列車
Yosan Line Anpanman 8000 Series Train runs every day between Okayama/Takamatsu and Matsuyama. All Shikoku Rail Pass holders can ride on the non-reserved seats.
予讚線8000系麵包超人列車每天運行岡山/高松站至松山站。持有四國週遊券可乘搭非指定席。

However, if you want to ride on these special seats, you need to purchase “reserved seats” tickets. This special car only runs at the weekends and there are only 16 Anpanman seats. So please book in advanced if you are keen to ride on the special car!
如果你想乘坐這些繽紛麵包超人座位，則要購買「指定席」票。這個特別車廂只在週末運行，也只有16個座位，所以一定要預定啊！

Children aged 6 or any age requiring their own seats will have to purchase children’s ticket + reserved seat ticket. Free for young children under 6 not occupying any seats.
6歲以上小童必需購買兒童車票+指定席車票。6歲以下小童如要佔座位也需購買車票+指定席車票。不佔用車位則免費。
