Cherry Blossom at Osaka Castle

Osaka is a major base city if you plan to view cherry blossoms in the west Japan area, including popular destinations such as Kyoto, Nara and Wakayama. In Osaka city, there are three major spots where most people view cherry blossoms: Kema Sakuranomiya Park, Osaka Castle and Mint Bureau. The cherry trees in Kema Sakuranomiya Park and Osaka Castle blossom around the same time which is earlier than those in Mint Bureau.

As soon as you arrive at the Osaka Castle Park area, there are tour groups and flags every where.
到大阪城公園賞櫻，一到達便看到很多旅行團，前面有領隊舉著旗，真的有很多人。
There are cherry trees along the moat and walking path which is pretty nice.
湖城河周邊和行人路旁種有櫻花樹。環境不錯但來玩的遊人真的很多。

The reason is that there is a “wedding bouquet” Japanese sign by the tree. I think it’s a blessing tree for lovers because there are wishing paper knots on the branches. The cherry flowers do look like bouquets (I think it is Yaezakura from the look of the flower petals)!
原因是櫻花樹旁有一個日文牌寫上「婚禮花球」，我猜有些是求姻緣的櫻花樹，樹幹有很多日本祈福用的紙條。靠近看，櫻花的確像花球一樣（看花瓣應該是八重櫻）。

護城河、櫻花樹，加上城堡的建築和城牆，是拍照的景點。
Taking photos of the main castle and the cherry trees are challenging. This is probably the only possible angle.
其實，大阪城公園能影到櫻花樹和大阪城天守閣，相信只有這個角度。
If you want to take the best photos of cherry blossom in Osaka Castle Park, you will have to go to the Nishinomaru Garden where 600 cherry trees are planted. Entrance fee is ¥350 during cherry blossom period.
如果你想看到最美的櫻花，要到西之丸庭園，這裏有600棵櫻花樹，櫻花期入場費是¥350。
There is a big lawn area surrounded by greenery overlooking the front of the Osaka Castle. Very nice if the trees behind me were fully blossom with pink white cherry flowers.
庭園的確漂亮，有大片草地，旁邊種滿花草樹木，而且對著大阪城的正面。假如我身後的一排櫻花樹剛滿開的話，就是一個完美的背景。
Using a zoom lens, you can get a nice shot of the Osaka city with cherry trees in Nishinomaru Garden.
在西之丸庭園內，在大草地上可以用長鏡拍到天守閣的正面和櫻花的構圖。
It was a cloudy day and the sky only cleared up at 4pm. As I leave the park, there’s a nice sunset view in sight.
去大阪城的當天是密雲，到下午4點天才開始亮，走的時候是天晴加日落，很美！
