While many coffee shops and restaurants try to run gallery/exhibitions/shops at the same time, very few do it well on both aspects. Miel in Gangnam is one of the few art gallery cafe I’ve visited that serves good food, offers nice environment and runs frequent art exhibitions consistently.
It is a popular restaurant/cafe for many popular artists, including Tiffany Hwang of Girls’ Generation, Bae Yong-joon，Song Joong-ki, Big Bang, 2PM and Jun Ji-hyun. So you never know, there may be a good chance of running into some famous artists when you are having coffee here.
Miel is a art gallery cafe in Gangnam opened in 2007. Miel （沒有中文名字）是江南一間藝廊咖啡，於2007年開業至今。The K Star Road “bird” sign and the number is a reference for identification by Gangnam Tourism Office. 門口有江南星光大道的「藍色鳥」標誌和編號，是江南旅遊局建議的景點／餐廳。The interior design and furnitures are modern and comfortable. There are 3 main seating areas. This is the area at the main entrance. 餐廳的裝修時尚，有三個大的座位區間，這是正門入口的座位。Most of the paintings are exhibited in the inner area. Miel runs new exhibitions almost every three weeks. Some times there are products for sale. Miel 差不多每3個星期就換一個展覽。此外，有時亦有商品出售。The bar counter is in the center. 酒吧櫃檯在餐廳的中間。Personally, I prefer this bright area on the side with window facade. 我比較喜歡旁邊有落地玻璃的座位，有天然陽光，很舒服。Miel brunch menu: fresh green salad, bacon, onion and cheese were toasted on the bread. 早午餐：有新鮮蔬菜沙律、煙肉、洋蔥和芝士多士。The other dish I had was the grilled risotto rice balls. 另一款比較特別的是烤義大利飯糰。There was cheese in the rice balls. Delicious! 飯糰內居然還有芝士，有特色而且美味！I also had dinner here. The pasta is good and it’s one of very few cafes in Korea that serves decaffeinated coffee. It’s very bright at 7pm in the summer. 我也試過在這裏晚餐，義大利麵也好味道，而且這裏是韓國少數有低因咖啡的餐廳。在韓國初夏晚餐7點天都未天黑。Address: 1F Puzzlehaus, 94-3 Chungdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
