Journey to the Kingdom of Happiness Begins

Spectacular Himalaya mountain ranges, covered by 70% forest, well preserved culture and nice people

When you make your travel plan to Bhutan, you can only fly on Drukair or Bhutan Airlines which only operates a direct flights to and from Bangkok, Singapore, Nepal and India. Today, there are direct flights from Hong Kong. When I wrote this article, I had to stay overnight in Bangkok and catch an early morning flight to fly to Bhutan with a stop over in Kolkata, India. 

Novotel Bangkok Airpor Hotel
I stayed in Novotel Airport Hotel in Bangkok. It's very convenient. I literally just went there for a dinner, slept a few hours then head to the airport at 04:00 am the next day to catch the flight to Paro. 
我選擇在曼谷機場 Novotel 酒店住一個晚上。基本上只吃了一頓晚餐，睡了幾個小時，第二天早上4點鐘就離開到機場。
Bhutan Airlines
Bhutan Airlines fly from Bangkok to Paro at 06:30 in the morning. There is a stop over of 40 minutes in Kolkata.
不丹航空每天早上 06:30 從曼谷出發至帕羅，中途停加爾各答約40分鐘上客。
Bhutan Airlines economy class
The Bhutan Airlines fleet is a 3-class (business, premium economy and economy) one aisle A319 Airbus.
不丹航空採用 A319 空中巴士，有商務客艙、特選經濟客艙和經濟客艙，一條通道。
Breakfast in economy class, Bhutan Airlines
A breakfast was served from Bangkok to Kolkata. This is a economy class meal.
從曼谷至加爾各答的航機上，會有早餐供應。這是經濟艙的早餐。
Light meal on Bhutan Airlines
Then a light meal from Kolkata to Paro flight. I was still full from the breakfast but the flight attendance convinced me to taste some of the bakery and have another tea/coffee. 
從加爾各答至帕羅飛行時間約一小時，有簡餐供應。吃完早餐我已經飽，但空中服務員還是要我嚐嚐一些糕點和再喝一杯茶／咖啡。

The reason why I wanted to check in early is because I want to get a window seat on the left to see this amazing Himalaya view on my way to Bhutan.
我要一早到機場辦理登機手續是為了一個左邊窗口位置，從加爾各答飛往帕羅的航機上可以看到喜馬拉雅山脈，愉快路途開始！

It was pretty far but still visible in a clear sky. I didn't use any long range zoom lens. This is a close-up of a regular photo. 
雪山雖然又點遠，天色晴朗還是可以看得很清楚。我沒有用長鏡頭，這只是照片放大，雪山仍然清晰可見。

The last hour of fly to Paro is very nice on a fine day.
最後一個小時的飛行時間是拍照時間。

Then a lush mountain range is in sight.
然後會看到綠色的山脈。
Aeroview of farm lands
Descending into Paro airport, you will see an extensive field of farm lands with dotting houses along the river. The fields look a little dry in autumn. This is a lush field in spring/summer.
當航班開始降落時，可以看到彎彎曲曲的河流、大片農地和點點小村屋。秋天顏色比較乾黃，春夏會是綠油油的梯田。

到達帕羅國際機場是早上10時左右，快樂之旅開始！
